There was this popular meme somewhere in the last decade, which went, “Always be yourself! Unless you can be Batman, then always be Batman.” Here’s why that could be useful
Two of my favourite writers Brad Stulberg and Steve Magness are behind this blog. In post this week, they write rather pithily about how inspiration is like a spark, while consistent effort is like oxygen. While you may need the former to get started, the latter is what gets the job done. I loved the analogy. Of course, consistent effort is basically a habit.
I began listening to “A Diamond Age” by Neal Stephenson. Given that it was written in 1995, it is fantastic and prescient.
As if my unread stack weren’t high enough (partly because of the non-book content I consume), I signed up for this reading compound, run by some good friends. I may make a post on how it was after about a 100 days from now.
