I listened to Tyler Cowen chat with Melissa Dell and then went on to this archived article about her and her roommate at Harvard, Sarah Hill. What remarkable women! And I only followed up on the podcast because I heard that Melissa Dell ran! Tyler mentioned that she’s the latest winner of the John Bates Clark (JBC) medal, which is awarded to promising economists under 40. I had to actually go and look up who JBC was, only to discover he’s closely linked to the name of Tyler’s popular blog.
