Edition 133 - Mike Sheridan
I have been trying to salvage this last week as I got locked out of my Mac after forgetting my password (more reasons to dislike Apple). Sadly it didn’t let me login using my fingerprint, which is what I used most of the time. That did upset my routine a bit. I am back to using my old Mac (don’t ask! I don’t learn well! Also I didn’t pay for all of it)
Amidst all this, I came across the story of Mike Sheridan, who has consistently improved his running timings from ~100min for a half marathon in his early 60s to a sub-3 marathon at London this past weekend at age 73! Now that is something to cheer about and look forward to, eh?
And he has been coached by the same person, Sarah Crouch, a former elite athlete, for 10 years (Sarah is stepping away from coaching perhaps to manage her personal life better and also a book due to release in 2024). Sarah’s own story is ridiculously amazing, In 2018, she had a benign tumour removed from her quad and ran a PB of 2:32:37! Look around every day and find wonder.
